Gravatars

Wondering how you get one of those nifty custom icons for the comments? Just head over to Gravatar.com, it’s WordPress’ (my blog engine) default place for getting a custom icon and using it across any WP blog on the Internet. It’s easy and free and then we can see who you are!

Have a question you’d like me to answer? Have somewhere you’d like me to go video in New York? A topic for a video? It’s viewer’s choice on steveisaacs.tv, so let me know your ideas, and I’ll pick one and use it as my starting point in the next few days.

Hope you’re enjoying President’s Day!

The Satanic web gremlins obsessed with keeping my site offline seemed to have abated and the site has been running pretty smoothly for about a week now. Seems that rubbing vinegar and a dead cat in a spontaneous voodoo ritual directly upon my web server did the trick.

I’m still working on a getting out a video a day, or at least 5 per week, but missed the mark this week. Every day I’m trying to refine my process so I can do all the things I have to do in real life, and also keep my S.tv output regular. Not quite there yet, but that’s my goal.

Have a happy Friday the 13th, a good Valentine’s Day and a ribald President’s Day.

Borked for 48 Hours

The last two days have been rough on steveisaacs.tv. My webhost took a big crap, and my Wordpress theme decided to go belly up not once, but twice, causing yours truly a massive tech headache. The site was “borked” as I like to call it.

Cut to two re-installations of WordPress later, and many fevered emails to many tech supporters, and now the site is back in gear (let us pray). I’m hoping everything won’t mysteriously bork again (I never DID find out the reason for the bug) and I can get back into my video posting rhythm. I posted Monday’s vlog today and hope to get a new one out later today as well.

Thanks for your patience.

Technical Difficulties and the Vimeo Channel

My computer and my camera had a little tiff last night so I wasn’t able to edit and upload yesterday’s video, but everything is back up to speed now, and I’ll have a new video up today. Unless of course, there is some kind of alien attack or act of God.

Also I deleted my steveisaacs.tv Vimeo channel, there was no real need for it once I opened this site up. So if you were watching the videos at http://www.vimeo.com/steveisaacstv, well, you won’t be anymore. So there.

I’ve got plenty of stuff in the can, so I might double post today if I get the time to edit it all and upload.

Update: The site is mega screwy all day today – not sure why, looks like it’s Media Temple. I can’t get any videos to show up on the main landing page.

Took the Weekend Off

I’ve been shooting all weekend, but didn’t sit down and assemble a new video. I’ll be back in gear tomorrow, complete with some great footage of the Indian section of Queens, karaoke, and Times Square.

Hope you had a great weekend!

Today I posted via the iPhone while I was in Queens indulging in some amazing Thai food. Sadly I forgot to include the embed link, so if you tried to watch today’s video, it didn’t work.

My bad, sorry. All is working fine now.

Hello and welcome to the brand new steveisaacs.tv. I am doing some major tweaking to this site, so pardon the dust, but I thought it better to just throw the thing online, then to tinker away for weeks and launch when it was “finished”. This is the Interwebs, nothing is ever really “finished” anyway. Please enjoy the site, and let me know if you have any trouble viewing videos, rating, or commenting.
