On the night Barack Obama was elected President, Melissa, Nikki and I went searching for a place to celebrate. We found it in two spontaneous parties in the middle of the street on St. Marks in New York. Hundreds of happy people singing, dancing, and feeling optimistic for our country’s future. A night I will never forget.
The quality isn’t great – this was before I got my HD camera.

I absolutely love this whenever I watch it. The busted car window wasn’t cool, but everything else was top notch. It feels so strange to say the words “I love my President.”

It was a beautiful night. I drank champagne until the sun came up. I worked on the campaign and Barack’s victory brought tears to my eyes. Great vid, Steve.

Hey Steve,
great vid! Thanks for caputring the spirit…
Poltics aside: Who is the woman that briefly appears at 3:36 and at the end? I know this is stupid and silly asking this but she makes my heart jump…

HM: That would be my dear friend Karen. She makes appearances in my videos from time to time, and we have a “Pizza Tour of NYC” video planned in the near future.
