02-10-09: In preparation for the March 6th release of “Watchmen”, the movie adaptation of Alan Moore’s groundbreaking comic series, I give the uninitiated a primer. For Watchmen fans, I reveal the secret of issue #5: “Fearful Symmetry”. Don’t be surprised if this isn’t my last vlog on this subject

Steve, big fan of Watchmen as well. Your summary for noobs was great as I get people all the time asking me for an explanation. Can’t wait for the movie….

The trailer looks phenomenal, but some people know how to make great trailers and not great movies. Guess we’ll have to wait and see.

I’m a newcomer, having just discovered Watchman last year, and I’m very excited about it. I saw the commercial for it last night on TV for the first time and got 10 kinds of giddy. Now I just have to find someone to go with me. Can’t wait!!

Steve, I was a late-comer to Watchmen, but after reading it and seeing the trailers, I have to say I’m mildly excited about this film. And I don’t usually give two shakes about “comic book films.”
I never noticed that awesomeness from issue five. Seriously, Moore and Gibbons put so much into that series it’s … hard to comprehend.
Oh, love the videos and the new site, but, um, those constant quick-cuts on this entry were mildly distracting. Not a criticism, just something that reduced my enjoyment of your otherwise entertaining monologuing. Keep up the good work.

Pj – Thanks for the note, sometimes I just ramble and am left with some odd bits to try to assemble when I edit down and the result is a little… disjointed. I’m super happy for the note, as steveisaacs.tv is a work in progress and I’m trying to systematically get my act more together. Thanks for watching!

I cannot wait for the movie. I think it’ll be as true to the novel as possible. My main concern is that there will be too much super-slo-mo action sequences.
Don’t you wish they were releasing “The Black Freighter” before the movie? I think that would make more sense.

I’ve been waiting for this to be released and simply can not wait. I’ve been following the movie posts and noticed that many people have been collecting distributed movie posters of each character and even tickets to see it before it’s publicly released. Sorry for rambling, just excited.
